“Going green” or living in an environmentally friendly manner has become all the rage over the past few years as studies of Global Warming and the effects of pollution have become public information. Natural light:
Open your curtains to let in natural sunlight during the day in order to avoid using the lights in your home. This can save some cash on the electricity bill, and it also cuts down on the amount of energy used.
Cut down water use:
Cutting down water use can save water for society in the long-run. Shortening your showers and turning the tap off when you are brushing your teeth are just a couple of ways to do that.
Be efficient:
Instead of washing all of your clothes in hot water and then using a drying machine to finish your laundry, try washing in cold water and then hanging your clean laundry out to dry on a clothes line.
Save fuel:
Rather than going out to run errands several times a day, try to combine all of your trips into one so that you save fuel and in turn save on emission and pollution.
Donate:
Instead of throwing out old belongings you no longer need, donate them to charities or to people who are less fortunate. This decreases trash dump and also helps your society.
Reuse:
