This year is the 6th time for Nigeria to be participating in the World Cup. The national football team Super Eagles will start in Group D with Croatia, Iceland, and Argentina.
In previous years, Nigeria has never gone beyond the second round of the World Cup games.
The fact that the Nigerian team made it to this international football competition is great news for the country this year. Winning over Zambia on October 7, the Super Eagles emerged as the first African team to qualify for the tournament of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The first match of the 2018 World Cup in Russia will kick off on June 14.
